As a child I was brought up on a smallholding where there was always a colorful array of animals ranging from peacocks to giant madegascan day geckhos! My favorites were always the dogs. My first dog was a standard long haired dachshund and I could apparently always be found on the doorstep trimming the hair from between her paw pads or bathing her in the downstairs bathroom reserved for B&B guests! We as a family have had many breeds of dogs over the years and with my mum once being a grooming professional herself, she would always show me what to do with each breed, not just for show purposes but also for practicality purposes. About 10 years ago my family moved to Spain. My mum set off in the car with my younger brother,a canary, 2 Persian cats and our German Shepherd "Grizzly"! In Spain my mum and I worked together as estate agents and it wasnt until I moved back to Devon a few years ago that I thought how nice it would be to make a living doing what I enjoy but to do it with a twist and that is when the idea started for the custom built grooming van! Now a couple of years on my mum has retired from the estate agency to concentrate on her passion breeding and showing Pomeranians, and I have trained to be a canine beautician and have launched Doggistyles! and am available to offer my services to you and your best friend......
I am based in Honiton, Devon and generally try to keep traveling within a 30 mile radius covering Chard to Exeter and including Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Ottery st Mary, Seaton, Axminster and Lyme Regis. Doggistyles mobile grooming salon has been specifically designed with grooming comfort in mind and offers the latest grooming equipment at your convenience, including hydraulic table and bath so your dog doesn’t need to lift a paw! Ideal for veterans or nervous dogs.
On board your pet will enjoy relaxing music while being truly pampered with professional and luxury grooming products and will be treated as one of my very own. Your pets’ session will include a health check and advice where necessary, nail clipping, ears cleaning, full groom to remove matts or knots, a warm soak in the bath and will finally be blow dried and styled to your requirements. On completion your dog will be handed back to you feeling, looking and smelling great!
I also offer a micro chipping service and can provide homeopathic treatments and advice as well as carrying a range of unusual gifts, collars, leads, doggiperfumes and quality natural dog food on board!

I come to your home and your pet is taken on board for their pampering session with no mess, stress or inconvenience to you or most importantly to your pet.
There are many advantages to having your dog groomed outside your own doorstep, apart from the obvious convenience to you as an owner, no more dashing to and from the salon stuck in traffic and struggling to park. Let me do that part!
In my experience I have found that many dogs do not travel well, making regular trips to a salon a stressful event rather than the enjoyable experience they have on board with me. I park right outside your house or on our drive so your dog only needs to walk (or be carried!) to the van. If however parking is a problem and your dog does travel well and it is more convenient for you, you can always come to me and I will groom them outside my own home!
Some dogs find the strange sounds and smells of other dogs frightening making them anxious about trips to a salon. Your dog will not come into contact with unknown dogs, it’s just me and your dog! If you have more than one small dog I will take them on board together as they seem to find it reassuring, but large dogs I will do separately...they tend to think it is a game and although the van is big..It’s not big enough for 2 large dogs (and me) to play in!
For veteran or nervous dogs the van is equipped with a hydraulic table and bath meaning they don’t need to lift a paw!. I will never hurry a dog, if they are nervous or old with aches and pains I will work with them which is why I say “give or take half an hour” for my appointment times. I endeavor to ensure the experience I offer to be one all dogs enjoy and look forward to!
